紅アズマの収穫

５月に植えたサツマイモ（紅あずま）がようやく収穫を迎えました！

サツマイモは、植えた後はほとんど肥料管理が必要なく、痩せた土地でも
旺盛に生える（養分吸収）ことから、翌年は土の養分がほとんど無くなるそうです。

初のサツマイモにチャレンジですが、とにかく葉が良く茂り、土地が狭いので
何度も葉を伐採しましました。

もっと広い土地ならいっぱい収穫できたかもしれないので残念です。

紅アズマというだけあって、掘っていると、本当に綺麗な紫色をしています。

大量ではありませんが、まずますの収穫です！

イモ掘りなんて、幼稚園のイベント以来です・・

約半日、天日干しして甘みを蓄えます。

そして、夕食のメニューはサツマイモのおかゆです。

お味は栗のようにホクホクとして、ほどよい自然の甘みがあり、大満足です。

おいしそうですね。
長女の通う保育園も芋を栽培しており、今時期（ちょっと前ですが）
恒例の芋ほりを楽しんでいましたね。
地元は他にも、乾燥芋用の芋も栽培してますよ。白いんですよ。
